Are the cards your fate?
Sitting down to your day, you reach for your deck and that “card of the day.” Feeling ready for what comes you turn over an uncomfortable, or even tragic card. So is that it? Are you doomed? Are the cards we draw a portent of the future? Or are they simply reflections of the psyche?
The answer is yes.
Confused? Take a think with me.
We give meaning to the things in our lives. There is no divination squad mandating your beliefs. You are free to believe either way, or all ways for that matter.
I have seen the cards foretell the future and they have been mirrors of my psyche; messages from my guides. I will say this…
What matters most, in my opinion, is what I DO with the information I am perceiving in the cards.
A “darker” card can arise as I am starting my day, feeling great, and I have the liberty to apply it as I choose.
Like the meme here, even if The Tower appears, I have the choice to direct my energy into being my best self.
I can take The Tower as a warning for the day and be marshaling my actions and energy wisely, so as to circumvent calamity. I can see it as a piece of my past I have learned from, and choose to apply the wisdom of the experience. Maybe I will brace myself for the worst or even welcome a shake up because I am sick of the way things have been.
I believe that tarot and oracle cards are a tool for living my empowered life. The cards offer me insight into my current state of mind and are a bridge to the otherworld beings I work with. You may call those being/s Deity, guides, angels, higher self, or _____.
How about those days you are feeling down and happy cards appear? Sometimes I get angry because I want to wallow. Clearly the YOUniverse isn’t validating my well deserved pity party today!
I am not telling you that you should interpret the cards with toxic positivity, refusing to reflect with honesty!
I do believe that you can leverage the cards, digging into their messages to discover who
you want to be and how you might creatively call to, partner with, receive and arrive at that BEing.
In this way the cards can be what you need them to be destiny, a portent of the future or a reflection of your Psyche.
